Three kits born of a very tentative breeding. Two darker, one lighter. Well-made nest.

Born Aug 8th as part of a litter of six to Carrot and Caper. She's a darling lass. And I want to be delighted that this black/orange harlequin (her colour) Holland Lop has found a home, but I think I'll miss this little smart aleck. :) As part of litter of six she's used to being bumped around and her momma is a very kind easy-going girl. Her kits, so far, have seemed to be the same. This little girl is a bright little character. She handles well and I think she will benefit from some trick training. A happy smart lass who likes to sit up pretty. This young lady has earned the name Coco. This young lady is a Sept 9 kiddo from Cindy and Omega.
She's a broken black otter (colour) holland lop. Part of a litter of six. Her siblings include two sisters (chocolate otter and broken chestnut) and three brothers (black otter and chestnut). Her mother is generally a very kind doe, though she can be stern when she wants her younglings to be mindful. I expect this little lady (the smallest of the litter) to grow up to be much like her momma, but following after her daddy in size. She's petite like he was (and still is). :) This little lady is called Lailai. Born Aug 8th as part of a litter of six to Carrot and Caper. He's a handsome lad. And I'm so delighted this black/orange Tricolour (his colour) Holland Lop has found himself a home in which he can be cherished. As part of litter of six he's used to being bumped around and his momma is a very kind easy-going girl. Her kits, so far, have seemed to be the same. This young bunny is a solid nice young boy. I expect he'll grow up to be like his dad. A sweet, easy-going boy who is very clean in his habits. Comments received:
An update was sent: Just a quick update. I've named the little guy Turtle because he took a liking to a turtles chocolate box. Don't you just love that name? An August 8 boy off Carrot and Caper. His owner is going to take a bit to think of a name for him and then we'll get that changed on the pedigree.
He's a lovely boy with some potential and she loves his colour patterning. A good orange/black harlequin holland lop. I originally not planned for AJ to have another litter. I'd been breeding her specifically to one buck and wasn't keen on the offspring overall, and thought she should move into a pet home. I had a gal interested who ... well... that just didn't work out. I decided to try her with a different buck.... and it took a couple of tries but we have FOUR babies! Little chonkers they are, all light coloured. Expected all to be harlequin or tricolour. AJ is a VERY lightly marked chocolate harlequin so I'm hoping to get chocolate tri out of these two. :) Time will tell! Watch Me GrowFour kits born to this duo. Frankie is a good momma, and Caper is a very sweet tempered clean boy, I'm hoping this duo will produce small, clean babies with excellent temperaments. Four in this litter. Should all be harlequin or tri. Watch Me GrowThis young lady off Komet and Omega is out of a litter of three. Her surviving sister is black otter in colour, this young lady is broken chestnut. Both of her parents are small so I don't expect her to exceed three pounds at maturity.
Born on July 21st I almost decided to keep this one but was convinced to keep her sister instead. She's a slightly pushy girl, I expect her to be a lot like her dad, a confident bunny, with a gentle easy-going spirit. A litter of six born to Cindy this morning while I was doing chores. A good mix of colour in the box, time will tell for sure exactly what will come up. I'm hoping for shorter bodied kits. Watch Me GrowSquirt, also known as boy 3, left for his new home today. His owner had previously gotten a look alike from me about 10 years ago and decided it was time to get a new one. This young guy is a Cindy and Caper lad out of a litter of six. Siblings included tricolour and harlequin.
This little harlequin coloured holland lop was born on June 15. He's a sweet-tempered boy and I expect him to grow up to be a lot like his dad. An easy-going boy who adores his food and people. |
AuthorI have been breeding rabbits for a quite a few years. I thoroughly enjoy them as animals and think they make great pets. I also like to take some of them to rabbit shows to see how they measure up to the standards. For the BEST rabbit forum I've ever found. Go to Rabbittalk.com. Good for the pet rabbit owner as well as the breeder for meat or show.
